1. Who we are
Booz is a football scores app that shows live scores, fixtures, standings, news, and team information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
2. What we collect
We aim to collect as little data as possible. Booz does not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email, phone number, address, location, contacts, photos, microphone, or any biometric data.
What we do collect:
- Push notification token — a device-specific identifier provided by Apple / Google / OneSignal so we can deliver match alerts you opt into.
- Notification preferences (tags) — the teams, competitions and individual matches for which you explicitly enable the bell, plus notification type switches and muted matches. Favorites alone never enable alerts. Stored against the anonymous device token, not against you personally.
- Basic device information — operating system version, app version, language, and time zone. Used for crash diagnostics and to format match times correctly.
3. What stays on your device
Cached match data stays on your device. When usage analytics is enabled, we also synchronize a copy of these choices under a random installation identifier:
- Your favorite teams and leagues
- App settings (theme, language, RTL preference)
- Favorite players and explicit notification bell selections
With usage analytics enabled, we measure foreground activity, page and match opens, feature usage, loading times, request failures and crash diagnostics. Search text, notification tokens and advertising identifiers are not sent to our usage dashboard. Our private analytics runs on Cloudflare; Google Firebase provides usage and crash diagnostics. A random installation identifier represents an app installation, not a verified person.
4. How we use the data
- To deliver match alerts you have opted in to receive.
- To show fixtures, scores, standings, players, and news.
- To investigate crashes or bugs and improve the app.
We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes.
5. Your choices
- You can disable notifications anytime from your device settings (Settings → Booz → Notifications).
- You can turn off team, competition or match bells independently of favorites. You can disable usage analytics in Settings. This stops new measurements and requests deletion of this installation’s dashboard records when connectivity is available; local favorites and alerts are preserved.
- You can uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.
6. Data retention
Notification tokens and tags are retained only while you have the app installed and notifications enabled. When you uninstall the app or revoke notification permission, the token becomes inactive and is removed during routine cleanup.
Our dashboard retains detailed usage and performance events for up to 30 days, daily activity and delivery summaries for up to 90 days, and removes profiles after 90 days of inactivity. A non-content revocation record can remain for up to 366 days to prevent a deleted token from restoring data. Firebase diagnostics are managed separately under Google’s retention controls. Disabling collection stops new Firebase reports; contact us for additional privacy requests.
7. Children
Booz is suitable for general audiences. We do not request identifying contact information from children. The usage measurement described above is optional in Settings.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
